Current faves: Miss Anthropocene

I’ve decided that once in a while I will be documenting the music, movies and tv shows that I love. and hopefully books (i really need to bring back that habit)

Grimes, Miss  Anthropocene:

Though the album is yet to be released she has released multiple singles leading up to it. In this album, she channels miss Anthropocene a goddess of climate change. to be honest I wasn’t a grimes fan before and  I had not listened to many of her tracks before this era but I can’t get enough of songs like violence and My name is dark. I can’t wait to listen to the full album once it’s released.

Enjoying the process

In the past couple of days, I have been looking into different food recipes I could easily attempt in my limited kitchen. I then discovered Allison Roman cooking videos on youtube and fell in love. her recipes are simple-ish but look very fancy and she uses a lot of pantry basics. I hope to soon get the courage to cook for others.

Its been a while since I’ve been excited to cook not just for the end product but for the whole process. Yesterday I made some simple stir fry and I kind of had fun. I put on some music took my time then at the end enjoyed a delicious meal. I think this could be applied to different aspects of life. It’s a great source of joy to enjoy the process and it makes things easier.

In 2014 I started this blog. I was a 15-year-old high school student struggling with the idea of getting older. Now five years later at age 20, I’m still figuring things out and never-ending. When I was young I fantasized about living this ideal life, who I wanted to be. I wish I knew wasn’t that simple. that living far away from home would suddenly make me able to achieve all the things. but no I’m still the same person deep inside whos gotten a little bit better things. I still struggle with putting my self out there, finding any sort of ambition and just overall getting my life together.

But I don’t want to be pessimistic. I’ve decided to return to this blog to get to know myself better. Believe it or not, This all started with the Mandela effect. as was reading about it I learned that our memories are not as reliable as we think and that every time we remember something it changes. We think we have this clear image of all our memories but that’s not the case. The same can be applied to our whole personalities. Perhaps our past self isn’t who we think they are and that’s what hindering our progress.

life gets more complicated as we get older but I do hope to read all my future posts and discover myself more.

Till next time

Byyeee!

It drives you crazy getting old

Getting older is a scary. As the years go by life gets frightening. You become aware of certain things,of  the mass corruption and oppression in the world, with getting older death becomes a reality, and there is the loss of innocence, you start seeing the racism, sexism, injustice and the hidden agendas, loneliness creeps in and suddenly the world gets darker. Conflictions?

So I’ve been chosen to be a prefect, the house captain of my house to be more exact, After this was announced I’ve had all sorts of mixed reactions I’ve laughed, cried, smiled then cried again. I’ve never been the social type, in fact meeting new people is almost terrifying. What if I’m terrible at this whole leadership thing? What if I’m not and this is that opportunity I’ve been waiting for?

This is all so frustrating, How am I suppose to decide?

What should I eat for breakfast?

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and it can also be the most delicious. Marta Greber’s blog what should I eat for breakfast  definitely shows this, if you’re looking for healthy and whole food  inspiration and recipes (and beautiful food photography) this is it.

Unfortunately though I won’t be joining you in putting this to practice since I have to wake up at the wee hours of the morning to go to school with only forty minutes between waking up and heading off. But someday i will, someday…..
